In honour of this occasion, I have extemporized the following joyfilled
"Garbage Day Anthem" (to the tune of "The Candy Man")
Who can take your refuse
dump it from the can
smash it all up with a big hydraulic ram?

Who can take old wrappers
other assorted junk
chuck it in a truck and haul it to the dump?

Who can take old apples
moldy greens and beets
remove 'em from your house and spill some on the street?
