Wow Mesa. That wee babe looks pretty real! I bet you have put loads of hours into that creation! My mom and sister are really into dollmaking.
FourthCross
Does look real and feels real too! It's a new hobby I have found, takes a couple days to get done except for the rooted hair. The hair took me what seemed like ages!!! Of course I could only work on it a little at a time in my spare time. But, I think even if I had sat and worked non-stop it would have taken days.

Wow, that's awesome. I can't believe you made it.

Do they usually sell for that much? $200... wow. blink.gif blink.gif
FourthCross
Yeah, sometimes I do that well and sometimes they don't sell for much more than $50.00. Here's another...this little boy loves his Tigger!

Those are truly adorable! laugh.gif

An excellent job on these little dolls and surely worthy of a reasonable bid on eBay, Mesa.
UnveiledShadow
Mesa! How adorable! How much do they (estimate) cost to make?
FourthCross
Thanks! Well, my tigger loving one cost $97.00; that's buying the doll and all the supplies. Then I add on labor(it took forever to do his hair!!) and ebay and paypal costs. I started my next Christmas one at only $1.00 just to see how well it would do...

Really the price varies depending on what all you add to it. The dolls themselves run $40-$50. Depending what kind of outfit I use $10-$20. The supplies to reborn it(give it realistic color, stuff and weight, hair, eyelashes) only run about $20. Now that's with a wig, if I buy mohair to root that runs close to $20. The hand-rooted mohair is best because it looks and feels so real!! smile.gif
Dragon Princess
Why are people calling HauntedbyAngels "Mesa"? that's not Mesa.
