I really like that first one, CORR. The lady's lips and eyes are so stunning, and they stand out nicely!

(And I like the pointy ears on the second lady!!! Neee!! Earssss!)

They are all good, CORR, but I like the second one the best...it's the ears.

That last one could use some clothing...

I like the imagry, though...

Cool, is it all pastel?
AlterEgo
Aug 21 2002, 09:30 PM
Yep, I did it with oil pastels....I can't do chalk pastels at all, but I love working with oil pastels...
I've done some drawings that need more clothing, too...mostly just to practice drawing figures....I can do faces fairly well, but have trouble with whole people...I can't get the proportions right....
Here is an example...

It's a great picture, none-the-less, AE! I love the colours and the flow.
I know, bodies are difficult. I'm not bad with faces, I guess but it's hard to get angles for me. Straight on is easier because the ratio is always the same. Key has no trouble with either, I see.

wow!.... would like to tell us more about this picture?

aight... i once had this desire to make a comic book all about demons and angles fighting eachother, and how the outcome of their battles affected our lives. (sound like something by frank perretti? yes? i had the idea after reading some of his books...)
so... i drew a rough-sketch of a demon-general... i wanted it to look kinda abstract which is why it is mostly scribbles that are shaped like a demon...

k... this one is a work in progress... i dont know how i will finish it yet.. maybe color pencils...or i will go all out in comic book style buy inking it... or maybe i will use a computer program to add color and enhance it... most of my drawing never make it past the "sketch" stage because im afraid to mess with them!!!

wow.. you guys have some really cool art.
AE... the face in pastels... really awesome! i never used oil pastels much (cause all i've been given is chalk ones) but they look like they have much better color!!!
CORR: cool cool cool!!!! the first one is awesome, they are all very good but i think i like the first one alot... looks like something from a comic book (i belive that the highest form of art is comic books!!!!)

Thanks, spartan! I like your stuff very much too! Your demon general reminded me of some Spawn stuff. I like Todd Mcfarlane. I know he didn't pencil most of the Spawn books but the Spiderman stuff is way cool.
The first one of mine is Vampirella actually. I do better when I'm looking at something.

CORR

Hehe, I have a special edition of that issue... the blood is done in red foil. Pretty neat.
