Boy Bands......hmmmm....I'm not into that type of music, either.

Give Third Day a go...theyare 'boys' but are a 'real band'...... they're Southern Rock

biggrin.gif
djahorne
I vote for third day too. plus steven curtis chapman
Wreath of Barbs
yeah, plus one are a christian version of backstreet boys/n sync/any other band like that......theres another group like that too but i dont remember their name right now

.....try the new Zao, its really good
kool_girl1988
i checked out truevibe from the library and i love it!!! i will try to find the plus one group and give them i try. i have already listened to third day and steven curtis chapman and they are ok. i am not really into it though. i really like to dance and the songs that i heard arent that way. thanx for the suggestions though.
Jesusfreak02
Plus One is a true "boy band". Personally (no offense) but I cant stand them. They're not my type. So, if you want something like back street boys, then check out Plus One.
Jesusfreak02
Also, if you like music such as Plus 1, check out girl groups such as, ZOE girl. If you lie + 1, you'll probably like them too.
themadhotter
As reluctant as I am to suggest them... you should try Jump 5. wink.gif Personally I don't like them.. they're so.. happy and hyper, and they smile too much. But they're all pop-like.
Sparky
LOL.......Madhotter........I love yr comment....he heeeee

cool.gif
tash
Hehehehe i like a couple of Jump 5's song's ohmy.gif biggrin.gif , yeah and Plus 1 is so much like Backstreet boy's and bands-no groups tongue.gif like that. Oh I love Zoegirl they are good biggrin.gif
themadhotter
::smirks:: Usually I'm all for happiness, but not quite.. that much. My sis and I watch PraiseTV sometimes, so we got to see Jump5 and we were... a little stunned with their energy. laugh.gif Makes me feel like a sloth.
kool_girl1988

I tended to think you loved boy bands Madhotter.

ahhh well anyways of course I don't like boy bands so I can't really help you.

But as for christian music I think alot of people say you should try ummm lets see if i can think of the name... ummm
Zoegirls Zoe Girl Zoegirl?

anyways there not a boy band of course i'm sure you know. smile.gif

I hate boy bands.. yuck.
Wreath of Barbs
Juliana theory are a boy band tongue.gif

*notices that no one knows who they are* ....oh well
spartan
juliana theory is an emo band, not a boy band.
Wreath of Barbs
yeah, i know...personally i have more respect for even the most inane boy band than for $$$juliana theory$$$ .... not to mention their latest album is nothing but trite, played out love songs....oh and a rerecorded version of "into the dark", which was one of the two best songs from 'Emotion is Dead'....which they of course re-recorded because they have now sold out to the major labels and want to cash in on what is arguably their best song [why not just write another good one??]

oh and brett used to play in Zao and Pensive...the mighty have definitely fallen
godz-lil_angel
Well they are not like the back street boys but i would recomend DC talk to any one who asked. Also +1-newsboys-3Day-Jars of clay. And if you are into rap (doubts it though)Gritz-Gospel Gangstas-Kirk Franklyn-Fred Hammond-( the 2 latters do gospel aswell)Then of course there is Rachel Lampa-Zoe Girl-Jacki Vesquelez-Rebekah St. James-Cyara.And if you are into metal go to WOB but i would recommend Skillet to any one who asked me about metal.

(Personaly I'm into opera "Whooo Hooooo go charlot Church!)

The house plant song, by Audio A...

Once I read a book, and this is what it said, if your music has a beat, then you're gonna wind up dead. Doesn't really matter if it's "christian" or not, if it's sycapated rythm, then your soul is gonna rot. And this book was called, "HA! You're gonna burn", & and in the 2nd chapter, I went on to learn. Take to houseplants and put em' to the test, set em' both in front of speakers, and let them music to do the rest! First 1 you play Moztart, or somethin' "lovely" like that, and 2nd you play petra, and Mega death. Doesn't matter what kind of rock it is. So, I took my 2 house plants and put them to the test, set em' both in front of speakers and let the music do the rest....blah blah blah...

Good song!!!
AlterEgo
hmmmm...sounds like he's been reading http://www.av1611.com

what are the rest of the lyrics?

QUOTE
Once I read a book,
And this is what it said,
"If your music has a beat,
Then you're gonna wind up dead."
It doesn't really matter
If it's CHRISTIAN or not,
If it's synchopated rhythm,
Then your soul is gonna rot!

And this book was called,
"HA, You're gonna BURN!"
And in the second chapter,
I went on to learn...

CHORUS
Take two houseplants,
and put 'em to the test,
Set 'em both in front of speakers,
To let the music do the rest
First one you play Mozart,
Or something lovely like that,
Second one you play that Petra or that Megadeath!
Doesn't really matter WHAT kinda rock it is.

So I took my two houseplants,
and I put them to the test,
Set 'em both in front of speakers,
To let the music do the rest
I powered up my Pioneers to let the music roar,
But twenty minutes later, someone's knocking at my door.

I opened up my door,
And there my neighbor stood,
He said, "Man, I'd like to get some sleep,
If you think I could."
I said, "Man, can't you see here
I have got this moral dilemma I have got to get clear.
He said, "What kind of moral dilemma can you have at this time of night,
That makes me so angry I JUST WANNA FIGHT!"

Sorry.

So I pointed to the page,
In that opened book,
That had a picture of a potted plant, and I said,
"Go have a look."

And he read:

CHORUS

"First of all," he said,
"That's Wagner that you're playin',
I've never heard of Petra,
And Isn't Megadeath all dead?"
And secondly, emphatically,
He asked me, "What's the sense,
Of hanging out with houseplants,
When, hey, I live right across the fence?"
And I thought to myself,
Y'know, that's a good point.

So I took my two houseplants
And I put 'em both back outside.
And me and my neighbor,
Well, we went out for a ride.
We talked about all the things,
That really matter most.
Like life n' love n' happiness,
And then the Holy Ghost."

Now my two houseplants,
Can sit out in the sun.
And as for my neighbor,
Well, our friendship has become,
A meaningful relationship
That's headed straight to heaven,
But as for now,
We like to sit around and listen to
Audio Adrenaline, CRANKED TO ELEVEN!

thanks Adam...

What do you agree with?? blink.gif

That is a song by Audio A... smile.gif

I like Audio Adrenaline. I was pleasantly surprised to hear relatively hard sounds from Netscape's Christian radio stations - such as "Broken" by 12 Stones. Christian music is big and diverse now. So it's possible for a person to listen JUST to Christian music all the time and still benefit from different sounds.
Wreath of Barbs
yeah, that is true...there are christian bands in every genre imaginable...literally...its cool smile.gif
simplicity
Yeah, Spartan. Skillet IS cool.

I just heard "Earth Invasion" from their Alien Youth album.

Good music to play when inviting unsuspecting non-believers for dinner. laugh.gif
simplicity
I'm still waiting for a good dance song.

laugh.gif Ha-ha-ha, nothing beats V*enna yet.

I just heard a song from Plumb called "Late Great Planet Earth". It's from The Best of Plumb album. So presumably all the other Plumb albums are sub-par in comparison. Kind of dance to it.

I still can't get V*enna's ABBA sound out of my head. laugh.gif

(He says, snapping his fingers and dancing around.)

I haven't played that game yet. But it looks fun. Does a person have to wear bell-bottoms to play?

I'll try to buy ZOEgirl either tomorrow or Saturday. I love "I Believe". We should sing that at church! I'm not sure if I can get the CD from HMV here.

I still like V*enna. That ABBA sound is just so awesome.

I really like them. They have nice voices. I just have to listen in a certain way. The music is certainly pop, you are right.

I really like Audio A's "Underdog" CD and Newsboys "Thrive" CD. Plus One is pretty good too. I recommend you check 'em out!
