A lonely, little, nameless bird
tried to fly across the sky.
But the bitter wind blew so strong
she thought that she would die.
She started to fall; she was not strong.
and someone gave her a drink from a cup.
Other birds flew under her
Their spread out wings held her up.
The birds who came with a helping hand
were different in color and size.
That didn't matter to her at all;
What did was the love in their eyes.
She missed her home and family;
thought sahe could never survive.
The lovely birds told her
"You will indeed; Jesus is still alive!"
Lord, will I be able to fly again?
Will there be a new tomorrow?
Yes, my child, it begins today.
I will wipe away your tears and sorrow.
Jesus gave her the cup of water
so she would never thirst again.
All she had to do was give him her heart
and let the Lord of her life be first.
